London 10k Race - More Runners Needed
London 10k race Sun 5 July 2020 – 30 or more runners needed to take part in this amazing event, which covers part of the London Marathon route.
Three Men Running-The Alternative London 10k
Derek, Russell and Keith are very kindly taking on their own 10k challenge.
As the London 10k event has been cancelled this year and Derek, Russell & Keith were due to run in that event for us, they have come up with their own fundraiser i.e. to run 5 x 10k runs over 5 days between 1 – 5 July. Brilliant idea and we are really grateful that they are still supporting the Centre.
Please go to their justgiving page in order to make a donation to support them with their great idea. https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/russell-starkie2

Eat Out for Two Cards
Samson Centre’s latest fundraiser is easy to get involved in. Next time you are enjoying a coffee, cake, lunch or an evening meal at your favourite eaterie – ask them to support the Samson Centre by showing them one of our ‘Eat Out for Two’ cards.
Our ‘Eat Out for Two’ cards are designed to make it easier for members to ask for a ‘raffle prize’ because all the information is on the card. To participate the coffee shop or restaurant only has to:
1) Add their establishment’s name in the blue box
2) Sign and date
3) Turn the card over and put an amount available to spend and include any restrictions such as ‘doesn’t include alcohol’ or ‘not available for use on a ‘Saturday’ etc.
It is as simple as 1,2,3. The ‘Eat Out for Two’ cards can be collected from the Samson Office. Please ask for as many as you like and feel free to distribute to friends and family too.
The more cards returned to the Samson Centre, the more raffle prizes we will have available for the future

Take Part in the Guildford Lions Hatchlands Run
Calling all runners, the Guildford Lions Hatchlands Race is on...…. and it is raising funds for the Samson Centre, so our members can pedal on a new bike!
Exercise is important for people living with MS and one of our bikes is needing to be replaced after 12 full years of service. At a cost of £5,500 the Thera- trainer bike is a multi-purpose exerciser for legs and upper body, perfect for use at MS Therapy Centres like ours with its advanced features, colour monitor, ease of operation and start/stop technology.
Guildford Lions are kindly donating some funds from their Hatchlands Park event in September to help us to purchase this bike.
Take part if you can and please spread the word to as many people as possible, as events like this are so important to the Samson Centre.

Bob Hope
You might have guessed it! The Samson Charity Golf Day is now open for entries. Our annual golf day is taking place on Monday, 20th May 2019, at Puttenham Golf Club in Surrey.

Even if you don’t play golf please feel free to pass our Golf Day details to friends, family members or colleagues who do like a game. Whether they work at their golf or simply take part for recreation they will be playing for all our members at the Samson Centre.

We hope that by doing it this way, many more of our members and carers will be able to buy some lovely goodies at the Centre. We will be focusing on the following stalls – cake stall to also include chocolates, chutneys, jams etc, bottle tombola, plants, good quality gifts and there will also be a raffle. A great opportunity to get involved in this while you are at the Centre w/c 4 Dec.
For those of you who like to make jams and chutneys, please reserve some for us to sell at the Xmas Fair. Also, please start putting aside bottles only for our tombola – we will need lots of them! Alcoholic and non alcoholic bottles all very welcome.
