The Countess of Wessex opens our new physiotherapy rooms

countess openingWe were delighted that the Countess of Wessex came to open our new physiotherapy suites on Tuesday 7 July. Although we would have liked all members to attend we could only invite a few due to our space constraints. It was a lovely day for all those who attended and is a great facility for all the members to enjoy by both providing new physiotherapy rooms and also freeing up more space in the Hall for group classes.

The picture shows Robin Bannister, one of our members, showing the Countess of Wessex how he uses the standing frame along with the Wii Fit with two of our physiotherapists, Caroline and Helen.

The Countess also saw our members using the Motormed exercise bike, having physiotherapy, taking part in an exercise class and using a the rowing machine. In addition the Countess met some of our volunteers as well as a few of our donors who represented the enormous number of people and organisations to whom we are most grateful for helping us raise the money to both continue functioning as well as extending the centre.
