Upcoming Events:- Support MS in Surrey
Please collect all your Waitrose green tokens and hand them into the office during May…
as the Waitrose stores in Addlestone and Frimley have kindly agreed to have a green token ‘Community Matters’ scheme for us during the month.
The more green tokens that go in the Samson Centre for MS box in store, the more money we get from Waitrose.
Please give an hour or so of your time if you can help with any of these collections.
Fri 7 June – Guildford collection.
Sat 22 Jun – Waitrose Guildford collection
Sat 6 July – Cranleigh collection.
Sat 20 July – Godalming collection

The Rotary Annual Charity Walk on the 19th May provides local charities with the opportunity of taking advantage of a fundraising event without the overhead of organising it. The poster below gives full details of how to get involved and moreover the timing couldn’t be better as it’s taking place immediately before the start of MS Awareness Week 2019.
So, if you are able, please show your support and join the walk in the beautiful Surrey countryside on a Sunday morning in May for the Samson Centre for MS.
Every penny that you raise will help us to help even more people who are living with Multiple Sclerosis in Surrey and surrounding areas.
Spread the word by forwarding this email and make the Rotary 2019 Annual Charity Walk the best walk yet for the Samson Centre for MS.
“If you watch a game, it’s fun.
If you play at it, it’s recreation.
If you work at it, it’s golf.”
You might have guessed it! The Samson Charity Golf Day is now open for entries. Our annual golf day is taking place on Monday, 20th May 2019, at Puttenham Golf Club in Surrey.
This promises to be another excellent day of golf, starting at 11am with coffee and bacon rolls and ending with a two course dinner. And in between 18 holes of golf on a picturesque Surrey course nestling in the foothills of the Hogs Back.
Even if you don’t play golf please feel free to pass our Golf Day details to friends, family members or colleagues who do like a game. Whether they work at their golf or simply take part for recreation they will be playing for all our members at the Samson Centre.
May half term closure will be w/c 27 May.

The Samson Centre provides practical and emotional support for people living with Multiple Sclerosis living in Surrey and surrounding areas. They receive no funding from the NHS or the MS Society.
MS is a debilitating disease which attacks the central nervous system. It is both permanent and progressive – there is no known cure. It is the most common neurological condition among young adults today.
The Samson Centre offers people with MS support in Surrey, enabling them to remain as active as possible by providing them with the physiotherapy, exercise and oxygen therapy they need in a supportive and welcoming environment.
Do come along to support this worthwhile cause. Items for sale will range from a computer, a leather reclining chair and stool and household goods to childrens and adult clothes, books, plants etc.
If you have items you would like to donate which are suitable to sell, do bring them along before the 22nd June. Any queries please contact Nicki Bates on 01252 702671 or
The Centre will remain open throughout the summer holiday period. However, most staff will be taking some annual leave over the summer holidays so you will be advised if this affects you i.e. if particular physio sessions and/or classes are not able to run at any point due to staff taking holiday.
If you know anyone who would like to take part in the Asics London 10k race on 21 July 2019, please let us know
A great time of year to take on a new challenge. We have many places to fill and ask that each runner raise a minimum of £200 for the Samson Centre for MS. We fund your charity place in the race and supply you with a Samson Centre for MS running vest.
Do get in touch as we need lots of runners to sign up for this amazing event. Please share this with family and friends.
